Urban Meyer’s football coaching career didn’t end the way he wanted it to, as he’s one of the many great college coaches that tried to make the jump to the NFL for a lucrative contract and couldn’t figure out how to get the job done on the professional level.
Meyer’s stint with the Jacksonville Jaguars was forgettable, to say the least, and to make matters worse, the team flourished once he was out of the picture and made it to the NFL playoffs.
Despite Meyer’s failed stint in the NFL, he had a lot of success with the Florida Gators while college phenom Tim Tebow was his quarterback.
According to Dov Kleiman of BroBible, a Netflix documentary is in the works about Meyer’s time with the University of Florida, which will debut in late August.
Update: A documentary about the 2006-2009 Urban Meyer Florida teams will be featured on Netflix.

Even though Meyer had some success as the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes, winning a BCS National Championship in 2014 with quarterback Cardale Jones leading the way, it was his time with the Gators that defined his coaching career and made him a household name.
The Netflix documentary will be fascinating, to say the least, with a lot of drama taking place both on and off the field, with a lot to be covered about his controversial time with the school.
Along with Tebow likely being a big part of the documentary, it will likely also talk about Aaron Hernandez being on the team and all the arrests of players that took place during his time as head coach.
